Rob started his business in 1982. Since then he has traveled with his wife Pam across the country and back again. Together they visit customers, spend time on job sites and interact with legislators, regulators and DOT personnel. These experiences has allowed Rob to gain a unique and rare understanding of vocational best practices, particularly as they relate to work zone safety. As a result Rob has incorporated those best practices into superior designs for his fleet, and specifically for Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) trucks, which have become the primary business of Royal.
Royal Truck & Equipment Inc. was founded in 1982 by Robert Roy with the unique goal of providing America’s truck users with an alternative that was not being served in the market – used trucks. Royal set its sights on providing very high quality used trucks at an affordable price, and making sure all customers are happy…always. Prior to Royal, this market did not exist. Since that time, Royal has been often imitated, but never duplicated!
